ALISTER ZOWE HEAD COACH
To me, cricket is more than a sport, it’s a way to shape character, build confidence, and bring out the best in every player. My journey has taken me from the grassroots of Premier League cricket, through the disciplined world of First-Class coaching, all the way to the proudest chapter of my career, leading the Zimbabwe Women’s National Team. Those experiences didn’t just teach me about the game, they taught me about people.
Now, as Head Coach here at Spartan Cricket Academy, I’m committed to something bigger than winning matches. I want to help young players grow into strong, thoughtful, and resilient individuals both on and off the field.

JAYDYN MITTON
Mitton brings the heart of a former 1st Team high school cricketer to his coaching. Having stood where young players stand today, he blends technical guidance with genuine mentorship, focusing not just on skills, but on confidence, joy, and personal growth. His approach is built on patience, positivity, and a deep belief that cricket shapes character as much as it builds players.
WERNO VAN WYK
Werno is a Cricket South Africa Level 2 Coach with over four years of experience.
He serves as Head Coach at Trinity House Little Falls and coach at Spartan Cricket Academy.
Also a District and U15 Lions Provincial Coach, he holds a SASCA Sports Coaching designation and Safeguarding Certificate.
